Novra Tracking
vs MonsterInsights

MonsterInsights shows your Google Analytics 4 reports inside WordPress. Novra Tracking does the other job: it sends your sales to the ad platforms you pay – and you pay once instead of renewing every year.

One payment · No subscription · 30-day money-back guarantee

We make Novra Tracking. We compared Novra Tracking Pro 1.0.0 with MonsterInsights 11.3.0 (version per its changelog of 16 Sep 2026), using Novra's plugin, MonsterInsights Lite's code from WordPress.org (its free version) and MonsterInsights' public pages and documentation, checked 7 October 2026. This is a feature and price comparison, not a tracking-accuracy or speed test.

Feature by feature

Green rows first: these are the jobs Novra Tracking does that MonsterInsights handles differently, leaves out of its free version or does not describe. Then the features both share. What MonsterInsights does better has its own section.

Based on Novra Tracking Pro 1.0.0 and MonsterInsights 11.3.0 (version per its changelog of 16 Sep 2026), using Novra's plugin, MonsterInsights Lite's code from WordPress.org (its free version) and MonsterInsights' public pages and documentation, checked 7 October 2026. Features can change with updates. Both plugins need your own account at each ad platform, and sending from the server needs that platform's access token.

What you pay over five years

MonsterInsights is a yearly license, and its pricing page says renewals are at full price. Novra Tracking is paid once. Here is the math at listed prices, for the MonsterInsights plan that includes shop tracking and ad platform tracking (Pro).

Listed prices as of October 2026
WebsitesNovra Tracking (paid once)MonsterInsights Pro, 1 year3 years5 yearsDifference after 5 years
1Personal: $79$199.50$997.50$1,795.50$1,716.50 less with Novra Tracking
5Business: $149$199.50$997.50$1,795.50$1,646.50 less with Novra Tracking
25Agency: $249$399.50$1,997.50$3,595.50$3,346.50 less with Novra Tracking

Difference after 1 and 3 years: 1 site: $120.50 / $918.50 · 5 sites: $50.50 / $848.50 · 25 sites: $150.50 / $1,748.50.

How we calculated it: MonsterInsights Pro costs $199.50 in the first year ("special introductory pricing") and, according to its pricing page, renews at the full price listed there, $399 a year. Five years for one licence: $199.50 + 4 × $399 = $1,795.50. Three years: $199.50 + 2 × $399 = $997.50. One Pro licence covers 5 websites. For 25 websites, the full plan table on its pricing page lists an Agency plan (Pro for 25 websites) at $399.50 in the first year and $799 after: $399.50 + 4 × $799 = $3,595.50 over five years. Elite covers 5 websites, at $299.50 in the first year and $599 after. If you only need one site with GA4 tracking and reports, Plus costs $99.50 in the first year and $199 after: $895.50 over five years, but it has no shop or ad platform tracking. We assume MonsterInsights renews at the prices listed today. Taxes, discounts and future price changes are not included (its terms allow price changes with 30 days' notice). Check both checkouts for the current terms.

MonsterInsights also has a free version with the GA4 tag, an overview report and link tracking, so if that is all you need, it costs nothing. In the first year on one site, MonsterInsights Plus ($99.50) is close to Novra Tracking Personal ($79). The numbers above apply to features that start at Pro, such as shop tracking and ad platform tracking. MonsterInsights also gives you reports inside WordPress, which Novra Tracking does not (see below), so this table compares prices, not equal value.

Which one is right for you?

Choose MonsterInsights if …

You want your GA4 reports inside the WordPress admin. The overview is in the free version.

The free version covers what you need.

You want link, download, affiliate link, form and video tracking without setting up events yourself.

You want custom dimensions such as author, category or post type in your reports.

Your site runs on Easy Digital Downloads, MemberPress, LifterLMS, GiveWP or Restrict Content Pro, or you use one of its supported form plugins.

You want a plugin that has been on WordPress.org since 2007.

Or use both. You can keep MonsterInsights for its reports and add Novra Tracking for your ad platforms. Novra Tracking is designed to switch off MonsterInsights' Google tag, so GA4 isn't tagged twice. We haven't tested the two together on a live site yet. Run a test purchase and compare your numbers before you rely on it.

Not sure? Install Novra Tracking on your own site and judge it there, with your own ad data. If it's not the right fit, request a full refund within 30 days.

Where MonsterInsights is stronger

A fair comparison names both sides. These are the areas where MonsterInsights does more today.

GA4 reports inside WordPress.

MonsterInsights is built to show your Google Analytics 4 data in the WordPress admin. The overview report and dashboard widget are in the free version. Its paid plans add reports such as eCommerce, forms, search keywords and realtime, custom dashboards, PDF export, email summaries and user journeys. Novra Tracking sends your data; it has no GA4 reports. Its dashboard shows a tracking score and, per payment method, how many paid orders were sent. With the optional GA4 Data API it shows which orders arrived in Google Analytics.

A free version.

MonsterInsights' free version on WordPress.org has the GA4 tag, the overview report and link tracking. Novra Tracking has no free version.

Link, download and affiliate link tracking.

In MonsterInsights this is on by default, also in the free version. It covers outbound links, file downloads, affiliate links and phone and email clicks. Novra Tracking tracks phone and email clicks (switched off by default), but no outbound links or downloads.

Form and video tracking, custom dimensions.

MonsterInsights' paid plans track form conversions in WPForms, Gravity Forms, Formidable, Ninja Forms, Contact Form 7, Elementor and Divi, and track YouTube, Vimeo and HTML5 video. Its Custom Dimensions Report covers author, category, tag, post type and focus keyword. Novra Tracking has none of these.

More integrations.

Besides the shop systems above, MonsterInsights works with the big form plugins and with Pretty Links, ThirstyAffiliates and AffiliateWP. Novra Tracking has adapters for WooCommerce, FluentCart and SureCart only.

Built-in EU tools.

MonsterInsights' EU Compliance addon and Privacy Guard are part of its Plus plan and up, with the settings in the same plugin as your reports. Novra Tracking reads your visitors' choice from your cookie banner and has Google Consent Mode v2, but it is not a compliance toolkit and doesn't replace your banner.

A longer track record.

MonsterInsights has been on WordPress.org since 2007 and has 3,152 ratings there, averaging 4.5 out of 5 (checked 7 October 2026). Novra Tracking is at version 1.0.0 and has no independent reviews or benchmarks yet. Check each server connection with the test purchase on your own accounts.

Extras.

MonsterInsights also has Popular Posts, a Headline Analyzer, a URL builder and a Google Ads campaign launcher for Performance Max, which is available in the free version.

Support by plan.

MonsterInsights' pricing page lists standard support with Plus, priority support with Pro and premium support with Elite. Novra Tracking is supported through our contact form.

Runs on older PHP.

MonsterInsights' WordPress.org page lists WordPress 5.6 and PHP 7.2 as the minimum. Novra Tracking needs PHP 8.0 and WordPress 6.4.

If you mainly need your purchases to reach your ad platforms, Novra Tracking is built for exactly that – and you can pay for it once.

Good questions.
Clear answers.

Partly. They do different main jobs. MonsterInsights shows your GA4 reports in WordPress and also sends events; its Pro plan adds purchases. Novra Tracking sends your sales to 20 platforms and doesn't show GA4 reports in WordPress. If you read your numbers in GA4 or in your ad accounts, Novra Tracking can be enough. If you want the reports inside WordPress, keep MonsterInsights.

No. Every Novra Tracking plan is a one-time payment with updates for the life of the license. There is no renewal date and nothing to cancel. MonsterInsights is a yearly license. Its pricing page says renewals are at full price, and its terms say the subscription renews automatically unless you cancel before the end of the period.

According to MonsterInsights' terms, support, updates and plugin downloads are granted for one year and need a renewal after that, and with an inactive license you can no longer "install or use addon files, or track licensed features". With Novra Tracking, your license only brings updates. If it ends, your tracking keeps running exactly as you set it up.

Yes, in its PPC Ads Tracking addon, which is part of the Pro plan. Its free version sends nothing to ad platforms. It lists Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn and Snapchat, with server connections for Meta (Conversions API), Google Ads (Enhanced Conversions) and Snapchat. Novra Tracking covers 20 platforms and can also send purchases from your server to Reddit, X, ChatGPT Ads, Spotify, Nextdoor, Taboola, Outbrain and Klaviyo. For Google Ads, it has an optional server upload and refund corrections. For TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn and Microsoft Ads, MonsterInsights' documentation describes a pixel and conversion ID, and a server connection is not described there.

Not for Novra Tracking. It works with WooCommerce 8.0+, FluentCart 1.6+ or SureCart 4.9+, and also on sites without a shop, where it tracks page views, searches, sign-ups and logins. MonsterInsights' free version has no shop tracking. For its Pro plan, its documentation names WooCommerce, Easy Digital Downloads, MemberPress, LifterLMS, GiveWP and Restrict Content Pro. FluentCart and SureCart are neither in its free version's code nor described there.

Novra Tracking is designed for it: it can switch off MonsterInsights' Google tag, so GA4 isn't tagged twice and your purchases aren't counted twice. We haven't tested the two together on a live site yet, so run a test purchase and compare your numbers. Don't run two GA4 tags side by side. If you also use MonsterInsights' ad platform tracking (PPC addon), switch it off for any platform that Novra Tracking sends to.

Note your IDs from MonsterInsights' settings: your Google Analytics measurement ID, the Google Ads conversion ID and label, your pixel IDs, any server access tokens and your consent settings. Rehearse on a test site, with test properties that are not connected to your live campaigns. Switch MonsterInsights' tracking off, then install Novra Tracking, enter the IDs (most fields also accept the whole snippet) and choose a consent mode. Run a test purchase to check the connections. Keep your MonsterInsights license until you've checked your numbers. If something doesn't fit, switch Novra Tracking's platforms off or deactivate it, re-enable MonsterInsights and check a test purchase. And if Novra Tracking isn't the right fit, request a full refund within 30 days. Our step-by-step switch guide covers the rehearsal and rollback in more detail. The Novra Tracking documentation explains each setting.

We don't promise that. Both can report purchases from the browser (MonsterInsights from its Pro plan), and both list server connections for some platforms. Neither route guarantees that a platform credits a sale to an ad. We haven't run accuracy tests or benchmarks. The difference is which platforms and shop systems you can use, what you get inside WordPress, and how you pay. The best test is your own data: install Novra Tracking, run a test purchase and compare your numbers.

PAY ONCE. KEEP IT.

Your sales for your ad platforms – paid for once.

Browser tags for 20 platforms, server connections for 15 of them, WooCommerce, FluentCart and SureCart, and a license that only brings updates. No yearly renewal, and your tracking never depends on your license.
