Novra Cache
vs WP Rocket
Both make WordPress pages open faster. Novra Cache adds image tools and a Script Manager – and you pay once instead of every year.
One payment · No subscription · 30-day money-back guarantee
We make Novra Cache. We compared Novra Cache 1.0.0 with WP Rocket 3.23.5.1, using the plugin files and both public websites. This is a feature and price comparison, not a speed benchmark.
The short answer
Pay once, not every year. Novra Cache is a one-time license with updates for the life of the license. WP Rocket is an annual license that renews every 12 months.
Lighter images without a second plugin. Novra Cache creates WebP and AVIF versions on your own server and slims down your JPEGs and PNGs. WP Rocket's documentation points to a separate plugin for that.
Turn off plugin files where they're not needed. Novra Cache has a built-in Script Manager for each page. WP Rocket's documentation describes using a separate plugin for this.
One plan for all your sites. Novra Cache Enterprise covers unlimited websites for $399 once. WP Rocket's largest listed plan covers 500 websites.
Where WP Rocket leads: it works the moment you activate it, generates critical CSS automatically, finds your main image on its own and includes a performance monitor and a CDN. Details below.
$79 once for 1 website · 30-day money-back guarantee

What you pay over three years
WP Rocket costs less in the first year for a single site. From the second year on, Novra Cache is cheaper, because there is nothing to renew. Here is the math with the same number of websites on both sides.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Personal: $79 | Single: $59.95 | $179.85 | $100.85 less with Novra Cache |

| 500 | Enterprise (unlimited): $399 | Multi (up to 500): $599.95 | $1,799.85 | $1,400.85 less with Novra Cache |
| More than 500 | Enterprise (unlimited): $399 | Custom license on request | – | – |
How we calculated it: WP Rocket's listed yearly price × 3 years. Novra Cache's one-time price. For each row we picked the smallest plan on each side that covers that number of websites. WP Rocket's 3-site plan does not cover 5 websites, so the 5-site row uses its 50-site plan. Renewal discounts, upgrades and future price changes are not included. Check both checkouts for the current terms.
For one website, the first year costs $79 with Novra Cache and $59.95 with WP Rocket. Novra Cache costs less from the second year on: $79 in total versus $119.90 after two years of WP Rocket.

Which one is right for you?
Choose Novra Cache if …
You'd rather pay once than renew every year – especially across several client sites.
You want one plan for all your websites, with no limit on how many.
You want lighter images without adding and paying for a separate image plugin.
Your pages load plugin files they don't use, and you want to switch them off page by page.
Your host uses an NGINX server cache, or you clear Cloudflare with a limited API token instead of your global key.
You like to see in one place whether your cache setup actually works.
Choose WP Rocket if …
You want speed improvements the moment you activate the plugin, without choosing settings.
You need critical CSS (the few style rules for the first screen) generated for you.
You serve files through your own CDN address, or need a built-in performance monitor.
You run Varnish or the Sucuri firewall and want the plugin to clear them.
Not sure? Install Novra Cache on your own site and judge it there. If it's not the right fit, request a full refund within 30 days.
Where WP Rocket is stronger
A fair comparison names both sides. These are the areas where WP Rocket does more today.
Works on activation.
WP Rocket starts caching right away and switches on several improvements by default. Novra Cache starts with caching and code changes off, so you turn them on step by step.
Automatic critical CSS.
WP Rocket generates the styles for the first screen through its cloud service. Novra Cache uses critical CSS you enter yourself.
Finds your main image on its own.
WP Rocket measures which image is largest on screen, per page and device. Novra Cache gives priority to the first images on each page, by a number you set.
Combine JavaScript files.
WP Rocket can merge script files. Novra Cache does not.
Cache for logged-in visitors.
WP Rocket can cache pages for logged-in users. Novra Cache always shows them live pages.
Your own CDN address.
WP Rocket can rewrite file links to a CDN address you choose. Novra Cache does not rewrite file links.
Performance monitor and CDN included.
WP Rocket includes Rocket Insights and RocketCDN for three pages. Novra Cache has neither.
Varnish, Sucuri and plugin rollback.
WP Rocket clears Varnish and Sucuri and can roll back to its previous plugin version.
Longer track record.
WP Rocket is at version 3.23 and has been around since 2013. Novra Cache is at version 1.0.0. WP Rocket also runs on PHP 7.4, Novra Cache needs PHP 8.1.
If none of these is a must-have for your sites, Novra Cache covers the rest – and you pay for it once.
Good questions.
Clear answers.
Is Novra Cache a subscription like WP Rocket?
No. Every Novra Cache plan is a one-time payment with updates for the life of the license. There is no renewal date and nothing to cancel. WP Rocket's license renews automatically every 12 months unless you turn renewal off.
What happens if I stop paying for WP Rocket – and what about Novra Cache?
According to WP Rocket's documentation, the plugin keeps running, but updates and support end. Its cloud features, including Remove Unused CSS and Rocket Insights, stop 15 days after expiry. Novra Cache has no expiry to worry about: you pay once and keep your updates. Remove Unused CSS is the only feature that needs your active license.
Can I run Novra Cache and WP Rocket together?
Not as two page caches. Only one plugin can be your page cache, so switch WP Rocket off before you turn on caching in Novra Cache. Two page caches on one site get in each other's way.
How do I switch from WP Rocket to Novra Cache?
Make a backup of your site and export your WP Rocket settings first (WP Rocket → Tools). Then deactivate WP Rocket and activate Novra Cache. Novra Cache does not import WP Rocket settings, so set it up step by step: check the health panel, turn on page caching, then add code and image improvements one group at a time. Check your key pages while logged out after each step. Our step-by-step switch guide walks you through it.
How do I go back if something doesn't fit?
- Deactivate Novra Cache.
- Reactivate WP Rocket and import your exported settings if they are missing.
- Clear your Cloudflare and host cache, then check your key pages while logged out.
Inside Novra Cache you can also export your settings as a file before you change them, and reset everything from the Tools tab. If you connect an AI agent, Novra Cache saves a snapshot before each settings change, so the agent can undo it in one step. And if Novra Cache isn't the right fit, request a full refund within 30 days.
Will Novra Cache make my site faster than WP Rocket?
We don't promise that. Both plugins use the same main techniques: ready-made pages, leaner code and lazy loading. The difference is what else you get and how you pay. The best test is your own site: measure it with our free speed test, try Novra Cache, and compare.
